Abstract

NHL 13 is the 22nd edition in the Electronic Arts' long-running ice-hockey series. The game introduced the EA Sports Hockey IQ system, which allowed AI players to make decisions based on the situation in the entire rink, not just their immediate vicinity. The Be A GM mode was available for online play and was accompanied by a mobile app. The rating system and skating physics were also improved, and the right analog stick now enables the player to anticipate a save when controlling his goalie.
