According to the hypothesis of this study, Austen was a genuine intellectual of her time: beneath the appearance of stories typical of romantic literature, often told through parodies of the most popular literary genres of the era, Austen addresses fundamental human questions, such as individual responsibility and the search for a moral order based on beauty in its metaphysical sense of the true and the good.161004686enghttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Austenian relationshipsfemale Dialogueslegal prostitution of marriagemoral humilitypersonal balancesCommunicationReligious studiesYesEthics and aesthetics in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice : contemporaneity and valuesÉtica y estética en Orgullo y prejuicio de Jane Austencontemporaneidad y valoresjournal articleopen access10.1080/23753234.2026.2712926https://www.scopus.com/pages/publications/105048002679https://www.scopus.com/pages/publications/105048002679#tab=citedBy
