Este es el fin principal de los trabajos de Thomas Stearns Eliot, que el ser humano no se deje llevar por la apatía existencial ni sea aplastado por los diversos elementos sociales, para ello investiga sobre la teoría y práctica poética, sobre el ser y el hacer de la poesía, sobre la creación y la crítica.
