Abstract

This research gives account of the current state of mockumentary, from the following hypothesis: the mockumentary priority today among its clearer identity, the unusual front verisimilitude. We have used a methodology called content analysis and focus groups from two cases ofextensive media coverage. At the other hand, it has also performed an analysis of more than six hundred sources in Spanish, English and German. Conclusions on the effects of these documentaries in the public are obtained.
