Abstract

This article analyzes sexuality as a constitutive dimension of the person from a philosophical perspective, based on the teachings of Karol Wojtyla-John Paul II. Sexuality is rooted in the ontological depth of the person and penetrates from there the psychic and somatic dimensions. It emphasizes the importance of adopting an epistemology that adequately integrates experience and comprehension, on the one hand, faith and reason on the other, as opposed to other currents of thought that discard the value of experience or deprive it of understanding and lead to a reductive and poor vision of sexuality and family bonds.
