Abstract

This article presents some questions studied by the catholic Scholastic, especially by Francisco Suárez, and later by the german protestant Scholastic, the so–called Schulmetaphysik, related to the birth of modern ontology between the 16th and 17th centuries, such as object and nature of metaphysics, in a historical line that goes from Suárez to Kant.
